You Are More Than Enough (How to be)

You Are More Than Enough (How to be)

When did we start playing small? Why?

I remember watching TV show with a clown and plates, his job was to keep all the plates spinning at the same time. We all watched with great hope until one at a time the plates dropped and broke. Ever feel like that?

We Sabotage our own worth by:

Negative thoughts

    Negative words

Negative actions

Playing small doesn’t serve anyone.

So what’s the solution?

Let’s change the language:

Bossy and Controlling = Guiding and Strategizing

Passive = Observant or Intentional

Lazy = Calculating or planning

5 things we fall prey to that sabotage our Value:

  • We believe what others say about us and where they end we pick up about us.
  • We try to be someone we aren’t
  • We run on empty energy.
    1. No sleep
    2. No Exercise
    3. No proper nutrition
    4. No quite time (alone time) –Big Responsibilities need Big Gardens
    5. No Fun
    6. No Faith means no accurate measuring stick of how we’re doing
  • We conform to standards that might not be the best design for us.
  • We fail to recognize seasons in our lives

5 Steps to Recognizing Our Value:

  • Know your strengths, acknowledge your weaknesses (Introvert or Extrovert?)
    1. Do you get your energy from being with people or from being alone? (I love people so much, that I need breaks from them)
    2. I’m a natural leader, and I’m not good with victim mentalities so I build a team around me that can handle the victims that want to stay victims and I take over when they’re ready to move forward.

  • Build the skills that need building, let go of the weaknesses that hold you back.
    1. I’m a natural leader, and I’m not good with victim mentalities so I build a team around me that can handle the victims that want to stay victims and I take over when they’re ready to move forward.

  • Ask others what your strengths are, sometimes they see us more clearly than we do…let it ring true in your heart (DON’T CONFORM) There’s a time for women to be rebellious.

  • What talent or activity comes naturally to you? What are you passionate about and you can’t turn it off?
    1. I solve problems from the back to the front. Can’t turn it off…some days I wish I could, but it’s knit into me.

  • 10 minutes.
    1. Being Still.
      1. Start with 10 minutes a day. Learn to be alone with you.
    2. Write the day’s goals.
    3. Be Present. Stop…look around, take a breath.
    4. Filter Thoughts. Capture them. Make them obey you.

5 Ways we stunt our growth:

  • Gossip
  • Self-deprecating (living like a pauper when we’re created to be princess)
  • Operating from fear
  • Being out of balance
  • Trying to be everything to everyone. Pick your tribe.

5 Ways we do Grow:

  • Look to older women, emulate the masters
  • Learn it, reach back to teach it
  • Ask for help
  • Laugh at ourselves
  • Fall forward- Mistakes often teach us more than successes.

5 Ways to Actively discover you and Stop apologizing!

  • Whine or Win? Look for the next step.
  • Respond rather than React
  • Anchor experiences: The more you discover layers of yourself the more you have to give away.
  • Ask the hard questions:
    1. Why are you here? How are you different than others?
    2. Who’s your audience? It may not be who you think.
    3. We are all influencers, who are you influencing and how?
    4. What lessons have you learned that you can pass on?
  • What are you waiting for?
    1. What sabotage are you practicing?
    2. What obstacles are in your way and how can you dissolve them?
