God does not call women to live in constant hesitation.
He calls us to stand firm, trust Him, and move forward in faith.
“Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:58
Key Truth:
God is not looking for perfect women. He is looking for women who are committed, grounded in truth, and willing to act in faith. A wavering heart keeps us stuck, but a steady faith allows God to work through us.
Key Scriptures
James 1:6–8 (NIV)
“But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.”
1 Kings 18:21 (NIV)
“How long will you waver between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him.”
Galatians 1:10 (NIV)
“Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God?”
James 1:22 (NIV)
“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”
Signs of Wishy-Washy Faith
Sometimes wavering shows up in subtle ways:
• Letting emotions make important decisions
• Waiting for approval from others before acting
• Knowing what God is prompting you to do but hesitating to move forward
• Starting strong but failing to follow through
• Doubting what God has already shown you
God invites us to move from uncertainty to conviction.
Reflection Questions
- Where in my life do I feel pulled between faith and fear?
- Is there something I believe God is asking me to do that I keep putting off or second-guessing?
- Am I seeking God’s direction or people’s approval when making decisions?
